The weather turned very cold for this annual event. My stall was in the Music Room which mercifully didn't host any music. I booked extra space to facilitate showing my full range of products. Visitor numbers were disappointing, but I was encouraged by a large number of returning customers from my email list.

The Gold Coast Art Fair is described as the Granddaddy of American art festivals. It is now situated around the perimeter of Grant Park which houses 400 participating artists. There are spectacular views of the lake and the Loop. This year the weather was perfect on both days and the event was highly successful.

Shoulder bags
These are pictures of new owners of my bags which have proved popular in 2021.
The Octagon at the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton
I exhibit in the UK primarily in the Octagon which is part of the Pavilion Gardens complex at Buxton which is located in the High Peak. The Octagon is a Victorian structure and is at the west end of the site. The Buxton opera House is at the east end. Buxton is an ancient spa town and the Roman baths may still be visited.
Maria Reyes Jones
After a Covid break of two years I was delighted to be exhibiting again with Maria at recent Chicago shows. Her large scale paintings of flowers are a delight. You can find out more about Maria and see more of her work on her website.

Chicago Skyline
I took the following photos during the Gold Coast Art Fair. The Chicago downtown skyline made a dramatic backdrop to the event which took place in Grant Park.
The above photos were taken looking north west and south. Looking east below you can just about make out the lake through the trees.
